On 38 The Flower Show of the Murray Flower Garden Club held Satur day, May 9th, was attended by a large number of the flower enthusiasts of this district. Carl L. Hansen offered prizes of tulip bulbs which were awarded as follows: Mrs. Emil Madsen, Jr. 100 tulip bulbs; Mrs. L. E. Martin, 50 tulip bulbs; and Mrs. D. J. Campbell, 50 tulip bulbs. The Murray Flower Garden Club received shrubs and plants to be sold for the benefit of the e club from Mr. Glover of the Nursery; Farres Smith of Bennion; Bowen Nursery; Finehm and Brown; and the Salt Lake Floral Company. Mr. Curt Bubel of the Murray Floral furnished much beautiful material that is being used with flower filled boxes now decorating the front of the City Hall. Chairman of the Flower Show was Mrs. Hansen and the hostesses ware Mrs. Ada McDonald. Mrs. A. A. Collins, Mrs. Martin, e Mrs. Fred Lindbeck and Mrs. Mrs. Kenneth Madsen was made president of the Murray high school band Mothers club at a recent meeting. Other named for the year are William F. Robinson, first vice president; Mrs. Phillip Stone, second vice president; Mrs. Raymond R. Rasmussen, secretary; and Mrs. Ernest Smith, treasurer. The Band Mothers' club, with Mrs. George Jenkins, chairman of the affair, entertained Monday evening at the school in honor of the band members, their parents, and the director, Wm. F. Robinson. Games were enjoyed in the gym, with Mr. and Mrs. William T. Belliston, Mr. and Mrs. Verl McMillan and Dr. and Mrs. J. L. Ellertson in charge. The banquet was served in the domestic science room, the guests being seated at tables arranged in "U" shape. A color scheme of yellow, pink and green was used with yellow and pink tulips in silver bowls and yellow, pink and green candles in silver holders. A reading by Ruth Fothering-haand a vocal solo by Russell Smith were greatly enjoyed, as were talks by Wm. F. Robinson, and Mr. Verl McMillan, master of ceremonies.
