Are you flinging the virtues of a democratic institution into the flames of fear and mistrust? Are you sitting back waiting for someone else to drag you out or for the laws of inertia to work; arc you looking for a stronger force? Then you belong to the Wishbone class, and should take a lesson from the ones who come with the Backbone, and without fear, and with faces wreathed in smiles of confidence, and girded with faith in themselves, their community, state and nation, and armored with courage and determination to push forth their battle to bring back to their community all the advantages, lost in the great gulf of depression. And while we are speaking of Backbone Who is the backbone of any community ? Who is it that pays the most toward the support of the unfortunate; the unemployed, the poor, the sick, the afflicted, and all others in dire circumstances? Who is it that instigates better compensatory laws for the laborers? Who is it that pays most toward establishment, promotion, and progress of education of the youth of our communities? Who is it that pays most toward the civic improvements; streets, churches, schools, police protection, fire protection, free libraries, greater comforts in the cultural aims of life? Isn't it the public spirited business men, the civic organization composed of those in your community devoted to unselfish service to their community. That same group of unselfish, fearless, courageous, determined, fighting, public spirited business men with civic pride and confidence in their own community in South Salt Lake County have launched a BIG BOOST CAMPAIGN', a war on depression, a determination to make times good again. And you watch and sec if they don't succeed. Who is it that is not one hundred per cent back of these nun? What citizen in this end of the county is it that will not support these nun in their campaign to usher in for you better times, employment for those out of work, and a general improvement of all local conditions? When you start your dollar on its round of work start it with one of these business men who is trying to bring back good times. If you do, that same dollar will return to you and vou can use "it again in this campaign. Go to these men and tell them that you appreciate what they are doing and help them in their noble efforts toWcwhip all depression. Knlist in this army against hard times. need you.
