The No. Nine common wire in service for so many years has been replaced with much larger wire No. 2 copier twisted, which will give the department greater efficiency nnd save fully eighteen per cent line loss of the past. New standard cross arms on every pole has lieen installed, also sixty-eigh- t new poles have replaced the old and defective ones along the line. Transformers have been changed to give greater efficiency also. The whole project will cost $0,(KM), which is drawn from the 1931 budget, or the earnings of the department, and not from the special trust fund furnished by Salt Lake City for the building of the new plant.
