I I f?ay Cum ft Prop. 486i so sure t. -- M The operetta "The Land of Sometime," will be presented Friday evening, April 15, at 8:15 o'clock at the Granite Stake Tabernacle, under the auspices of the Cottonwood Stake Primary association. The chorus of three hundred voices chosen from the ten ward primaries of the stake will be under the direc tion of Mrs. Lucy May G. Mortensen, will be Miss and the accompanist llzabeth Cornwall. The scene of the operetta Is laid in Japan, in cherry blossom time. A hlldren's festival is in progress, and the opening songs and dances reveal the fact that it Is the one day of the year in which the fairy queen appears, to grant all the good wishes of the children, and make their dreams come true. The goblins arrive to scare the chil dren and are driven away by the ad vance guards of the fairy queen. in the court The second act oin-nof the fairy queen, who promises to grant the children's wishes if they will sing and dance for her. Groups of children representing va- ious nations, Indians, Uubes, Flower Spirits, Itugbeurs, appear in characteristic songs and dances and the final tableau, and song "Hurrah for Uncle Sam," follows the queen's declaration that from thenceforth her court would be held in "America, the Land of Sometime." The fairy queen role will be taken by Miss Miriam Itennlon of Taybirsville ; the herald is Sheldon I 'ark, ami solos will be given by Huth Kohl nsi m and F.velyn Wright, of Mill Creek. lie! ween the acts readings will be given by Miss Alene Knsson, and in strumental music by Misses Wilmn ami Alice Tliorup, accompanied by Mrs. William Tliorup.
