This past week's Halloween goings on at Hill were no exception. All sorts of critters showed up for costume contests in getups conceived by imaginations straight from the twilight zone ran creativity rampant and, in some cases, there are pictures to prove it. The Youth Center sponsored a costume contest for youngsters 6 to 12 with prizes being given for the most original, the funniest and scariest costumes. Not to be outdone, adults gathered at the masquerade ball at the Officers Club with specific intent to remain anonymous while cavorting through the events planned by the Commodities Directorate. There was food, danc ffum ing, dungeons, scary movies, a spook alley and hilarity. Finally, there was the costume judg-- , ing. The prize for the funniest costume was given to a halloweenie dressed as a garbage can; a crash dummy won for most creative; and the scariest went to a terrible monster. On the actual night of Halloween, a similar party was held at the NCO club, while the combat arms training and maintenance section of the Security Police were manning their spookmo-bil- e on ghostbuster patrol. They patrolled the streets in base housing in their mobile spook alley dispensing thrills and candy, and generally kept an eye on things. The Lab at U.S. Air Force Hospital, Hill did their part by providing scanning services for children's candy. All of these activities added to the morale and relaxation of folks working or living at Hill and it was all done without a hitch thanks to the many volunteers who organized the events. While the trio strutted their stuff, other masqueraders watched. The motley crew manning the dungeon (above) got a dose of their own medicine. Dungeon help is so hard to find these days.
