Maj. Gen. Dale W. Thompson Jr., commander, Ogden Air Logistics Center, presided over the ceremony. CMSgt. Thomas Moeglein, Ogden ALC senior enlisted adviser, acted as master of ceremonies during the presentation, and assisted in the awarding of the degrees. The following members received degrees: TSgt. OPTR reports may be obtained from HMS by calling outpatient psychotherapy more than twice each week or whose therapy sessions exceed 23 visits in a calendar year must have prepayment certifications from Health the Strategies, Management H CHAMPUS mental health contractor. These certification requirements do not apply to CHAMPUS psychotherapy patients in certain demonstration project areas. In addition, CHAMPUS recommends that providers obtain pretreat-men- t certification for psychoanalysis and crisis intervention, since these treatment methods usually require more frequent visits and are likely to exceed the limit of two sessions each week. When requesting certification for psychoanalysis, providers should submit an OPTR that includes a diagnosis for which psychoanalysis is the designated method of treatment. CHAMPUS beneficiaries should be aware that CHAMPUS will pay for psychoanalysis only when the therapy is provided by a trained psycho- each week are needed, providers should call HMS no later than two business days after therapy begins to discuss the case with a clinical reviewer.
