Show r LIFETIMES March 15, 1991 Hilltop Times 17 Workers earn praise for achievements Hill AFB workers continue to receive recognition for outstanding achievements. Those receiving awards and recognition follow. Wing honors top maintainors The winners of the 1990 12th Air Force Lt. Gen. Leo Marquez Maintenance Officer of the Year Awards are Hill's Lt. Col Vaden R. GiUoth for Field Grade category and Capt. Kenneth E. Stoudt II. for Company Grade category. Colonel Gilloth is the 388th Aircraft Generation Squadron commander. He is currently deployed to the Middle East for Operation Desert Storm as the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing, Provisional, assistant deputy commander for maintenance. Captain Stoudt is now in the 388th Component Repair Squadron. Instrumental in the selections was the work done to become the first wing to successfully complete the Block 40 CD conversion and the first wing operational with the LANTIRN navigationtargeting pods. The award is given annually to the top maintenance officers in the 12th Air Force. Awards are also given in other categories. Winners at this level go on to compete at Tactical Air Command, and from there, to Air Force level. Security police gamer awards The 1990 Air Force Logistics Command Security Police awards were recently announced by Gen. Charles C. McDonald, AFLC commander. Those from Hill who received awards were: Maj. Bronis J. Voveris Jr., Outstanding Field Grade Officer; MSgt. Daniel A. Lickteig, Outstanding Senior Noncommissioned Officer; SSgt. Timothy Bender, Outstanding NCO (Security Specialist); Don E. Greathouse, Outstanding Information Security Manager; and TSgt. Patrick G. Wolcott, Outstanding Individual Mobilization Augmentee Enlisted. As chief of security police, Major Voveris commands a organization which provides line and resource protection for Air flight security Force assets valued at more than $14 billion. As operations staff NCO, Sergeant Lickteig manages the unit Individual Mobilization Augmentee program ensuring effective utilization of these employees, among his other duties. Because of his superior job performance and leadership abilities, Sergeant Bender performs duties as a security flight sergeant, a position normally filled by a technical sergeant with years of ex- F-1- 6 n 210-perso- Council announces Image perience. As a supervisory security specialist, Mr. Great-houshas effectively managed the information security section, providing security managers with e information. As a law enforcement supervisor, Sergeant Wolcott is trained to augment security police law enforcement personnel or take over duties of deployed troops. C awards The Hill Enlisted Advisory Council selected its Military Image Award winners for the last quarter in 1990. SSgt. Daniel Robinette, of the 2849th Air Base Group, was selected in the noncommissioned officer category, while the 2701st Explosive Ordnance Disposal Squadron's A1C Mark Kelly was selected in the airman category. The pair were chosen based on their professionalstanism, adherence to Air Force Regulation dards, military bearing, devotion to duty and community involvement. Norton AFB. Calif.
