RULON H. EYRE, execiv tor of the last will and , testament of HERBERT LAST CALL TO HELP FIGHT AN ENEMY This week, volunteer workers under Mrs. Loretta Cline, drive chairman, have been contacting residents of Milford soliciting contributions to the Cancer Control Fund. The . drive will reach its peak on Saturday, April 25th, Each year, a smaller percentage of our national popula" tion dies of cancer than sue cumbed to this disease the preceding year. The dollars you have contributed to this cause in past years have been directly responsible for this progress In detection, care and cure of can cer. The dollars you give this year will help make further We must all help. We must all give. With the disease striking one out of five, none of us stands too good a chance of living out a normal life without contracting cancer. When the ladles call at your door, dig and dig deep. In addition to our regular small contribution, we'd like to do a little more to help in the f!ght against cancer, in the fi-nancing of the vast research and j lvA educational program. So. for the remainder of the month of April, we're going to contribute d of our subscription receipts to Cancer. Mail your checks for new or renewal subscriptions to The News, and we'll mall you a receipt for another 12 months of The Milford News. But make it two checks, one to the Milford News for $2 and one to "Cancer" for $1. We'll forward the check to the chairman of the Cancer Drive in the community from which the check comes Milford checks to the Milford chairman, Minersville checks to the chairman, etc. Let's do all we possibly can to help control cancer.
