TFUL282's latest album Strangers From the Universe offers a more digestible version of the band than 1993's The Funeral Pudding. Sandwiched somewhere between Captain Beefheart's blues, Pink Floyd's Piper-er- a psychedelia and Sonic Youth's noise affinity, Stranger's From the Universe is art rock of the highest order. While "art rock " may words evoke four-lettfrom many music critics Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket, Sea of Jones' songs ranged from riff rock, rockap to power billy and balladry, mid-Eatwang and drool.
