Produced under the direction of Lehi Stake ward and stake activities committees, each road show is a minute written to comply with this year's of theme "Nursery Rhyme Time." One-daroad shows may seem a little insane, and some, indeed, have nicknamed it the "Panic" road shows. The recipe, however, is simple and the results, surprisingly magical: Begin with one original script written in advance by a ward member. Combine that with a group of enthusiastic thespians from the ward, a handful of props, several yards of brightly colored fabric to be d cut and sewn by volunteers, plus reams of poster paper. Blend together for just one day, using music, memorization, dance, and practice, practice, practice. For best results, add a generous dose of laughter and good humor, some stage make-ubright lights, and a few microphones. Suddenly, almost miraculously, from chaos comes order. With all its puns and rewritten lyrics, this Saturday's efforts will come to fruition $45.00 $60.00 10x20 12x24 The Lehi Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints is preparing once again for its annual "One ll" a month a month '.$75.00 a m6nth 10 X 10 Road Shows slated Sat. i 'Storage Ufiits y Elder Robert M. Gypsy sees religion for Ann Davies One day while Ann Davies Dalley was sitting in her garden in Leominster, Herefordshire, England a gypsy came by offering to tell her 'ner fortune', for money. Ann laughed and told her to be on her way but the gypsy insisted and said, "she would soon hear of a new religion, that this religion would be preached to her and that she would believe in it and join it and eventually she would cross the ocean for the sake of this new faith" Ann though very little of the gypsy's fortune and laughed when she told to her children later on in the day. But it was only two weeks later that two young Mormon Elders came to Leominster where Ann and her family lived, to preach the gospel and within a short time they were baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. Persecution of the Saints in England made it difficult for members of the Church to obtain or hold jobs and the Dalleys soon found that going to America seemed the best thing to do. Disposing of their property and bidding goodbye to relatives, Ann Davies Dalley and most of her family set sail for America in February of 1848 on the ship Carnatic, out of Liverpool, England. Soon after sailing the ship was caught in a storm and forced into the Bay of Biscay, off the coast of France. Almost immediately after the prayer was offered, by President Richards, the ship gave a great lunge which almost turned the vessel over and made the passengers feel that they were all indeed, doomed. It was not the end, however, the ship in its lunge had slipped off the great rocks and safely back into the water. Many times in the years that followed Captain McKenzie told the story of the rescue of his ship Here the ship was caught between two large rocks and all but wrecked. Captain McKenzie feared that the ship and all of the passengers would be lost. President Franklin Richards asked all of the passengers to Saints join with the Latter-da- y in a prayer for safety. It is said that even the captain prayed with the group. by prayer, always stating that in all his life he had never felt the thrill at the power of prayer nor had he ever known such a defi- nite answer to prayer as had come as a result of that prayer offered aboard the Carnatic on that February day in 1848. During the long ocean voyage that followed, Mary and Susan Dalley would help to entertain the company with their lovely voices singing hymns, opera and sweet old English ballads. R.
