Show Utah Regional Ballet lists 1991 season the Utah Regional Ballet haa announced performance for its 1997 season. "LaCoquette" will be performed on March 1, 7, 8 at the UVSC Florence Ragan Bullock Theater. Perfomances are every night at 7:30 p.m. and matinees will be March 1 and 8 at 2 p.m. At the matinee on March 1 a French festival will be held where the audience can meet LaCoquette, her mother and sisters. The festival will be held following performance. The admission is included with the ticket purchase. LaCoquette is a light hearted romantic comedy that all ages can enjoy. It is a part of the Children's Performing Art Series. The purpose is to educate children in art. The "Legend of Timpanogos" will be presented Sept. 6 at Kingsbury Hall at the University of Utah. Beau Jest," Hale's newest production, is a comedy that will keep you laughing throughout the show. This upbeat and fun production by James Sherman is, according to the playbill, "fresh from Broadway" and is directed by Syd Riggs. The play centers around Sarah Goldman who has a familial dilemma. All the roles are double cast. Mary Hall was excellent as Sarah on Saturday the night I attended and plays the part on Thursdays as well. Lori K. Lehman has the role on Mondays and Fridays. Although she is dating gentile Chris Kringle (Joseph Boren), Sarah hires Bob Schroeder (John Lundwall) to be the Jewish boyfriend (and a doctor no less) her Jewish family gets to meet. There were plenty of sparks as the tangled story line unfolded. This truly was a hilarious production which I believe has a romantic charm which will appeal to audience members of all ages. The running time was one hour and fifty minutes. Performances are Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays beginning at 8 p.m. Starting January 27, the show will run nightly until closing on Feb. 10 with Saturday matinees at 3:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $5 on Mondays, $6 on week nights and matinees and $7 on the weekends.
