Show Citizen, Free Press, Review, April 5, 1995 - Page 13 High school computer camp offered LeAnn Wimmer Lindsey, a Pleasant Grove native, will be presenting computer camps for high school students on June 5 through 16 and June 19 through 30 in Salt Lake City. LeAnn is of Moire, Inc., a Boston-base- d company which was formed to provide computer programming summer camps to high school students. Computer technology has changed the face of the American economy, fueling growth in many technology related services. Moire believes that computer proficiency is vital to the individual and acknowledges there is great value and urgency in this new emerging market. To register or to request a registration form call Martial Arts Academy to hold opening Jenny Jarvis has recently purchased the Utah Martial Arts Academy at 22 S. Main, Pleasant Grove, and she will hold a grand opening on Saturday, April 8, from ' fej- - 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be demonstrations, live music and refreshments. A special guest will be Master Royal West, a Sixth Dan Black Belt, who is on the board of directors of the AKF. The public is invited to Jenny Jarvis attend. Jenny purchased the studio years and was presented the Outstanding Assistant Instructor award at the Ameraican Kyuki-D- o Federation convention in Chicago in December. Jenny is 18 years old and is a senior at Pleasant Grove High School and also attends UVSC. She has her own band, Crosswind, which will provide the music for the open house Saturday. She plans the guitar, electric guitar, bass, and sings. Upon graduation, Jenny would like to go to college and major either in psychology or criminal justice. In the meantime she will continue teaching at her new studio.
