Show Free Press - Pace 8 Wednesday, February 15 Top hay farmers honored Davis Dental opens clinic on Main St. X I From his beginnings as a Main Street dentist, Dr. Kent Davis of Lehi has returned to his roots with an almost futuristic office on that same thoroughfare. Davis first open his practice in the building that now houses Porter's Place. From there, he and Dr. William Miller built adjoining facilities on 300 East and 100 North. Now, the Davis Dental Clinic is located in a new building at 216 E. Main, with additional suites available for other specialists as well. "We needed to expand and have more room," said Davis. "And we wanted to make a real asset on Main Street." Ryan Davis, now in practice with hisfather, added to that sentiment. "We wanted to give Lehi the nicest dental facility in the state," he said. Breaking away from the traditional office layout, the new facility at 2 16 E . Main is what they call "the wave of the future" with seven open operatories designed both for the flow of the work and the atmosphere for the patient. The machines, for example, are built to service either oftwo work areas and nitrous oxide is piped into every room from a cen- ' ' r.'vV K " 1 . 1 ; ' " . V try. Commissioned by Lehi historian Richard Van Wagoner, the painting is entitled "Rockwell Ferry at Indian Ford on the Jordan River" and was done by a promising young Lehi artist, Kurt Gray. Graduating from Utah Valley State College with an associate in art science, Gray is at a crossroads with his career. "Only two out of 100 people in the art field are capable of making a living at art," explained Mary Ann Judd, art educator and professional water colorist, "the people that sacrifice make it. There has to be four years of real struggle and starving." With numerous local commissions and awards under his belt, Gray seems to have begun the artist's struggle, but he is not starving. "He has the possibility to be able to paint in the architectural impressionistic style," adds Judd, "His Memorial Building illustrated in the 1993 Lehi Historical Calendar was very clean and clear. And he possesses a higher than average ability to put something down in the correct perspective." mmm Sir 1 23 to 53 fej Recycling Ssna CssOlf Prints S Yea Est Tclt CsrlrlJgg Bacfc Accounting Auditing Advisory & Consulting Service JA)(SERyiCES 756-760- 3 9 Res 135 N. 100 E. - American Fork MOUNTAIN PACIFIC TRANSPORT Customized Flatbed Hauling I 756-458- 785-721- Recognizing Our Dedicated FFA Kids!
