Beth Andress, Cody Fox Margaret Worthington to wed Jonathan Hafley on Thursday Sheldon and Diane Worthington are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Margaret, to Jonathan Hafley, son of Charles and Iris Hafley of Visalia, Calif. Margaret and Jonathan have chosen to wed in the Bountiful LDS Temple on Feb. 16. A reception will be held in their honor Feb. 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 pjn. at the Lehi West Stake Center, 1900 N. 500 West. All friends and family are invited to attend. An open house will be held Feb. 24 in Visalia, Calif. Attending the bride will be Jenny and Beth Worthington. V. Black. e The is a graduate of Lehi High School and LDS Seminary. She has been attending Utah Valley State College and Salt Lake Community College, studying American Sign Language. The prospective groom is a bride-to-b- graduate of ML Whitney High School and LDS Seminary of Visalia, Calif. He has attended Utah Valley State College. He served in the Wisconsin Milwaukee LDS Mission. He is currently employed in West Jordan. The couple will make their first home in American Fork. Katherine B. Andress, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Andress of Houston, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Rick Ortiz of Lindon, will marry Cody L. Fox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Fox of Lehi, on Thursday, Feb. 16, in the Bountiful LDS Temple. A reception will honor the couple that evening from 7 to 9 at the American Fork Senior Citizen Center, 54 E. Main. 4 ' r . e The graduated from Garland High School in Garland, Texas. She now attends Utah Valley State College. She is employed at Wholesale Foods in Pleasant Grove. bride-to-b- 1 i Final appointments are now being taken for the second monthly Wellness Clinic, which will be held Friday, Feb. 17; times are still available from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. Several services are offered at the clinic for a nominal suggested donation. According to Marilyn Senior 3 Aubrey Miner JackBirk Edna Birk Edna Birk, 90, and son to be feted at open house Edna Birk will be honored for her 90th birthday at the American Fork Senior Citizen Center Saturday, Feb. 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. It will be a jointbirthday celebration with her son Jack, who was born Feb. 29, 1924. They request no gifts. Edna married Neldon Birk Oct. 5,1922. They had four children: Jack (Sally), Duluth, Minn.; Shirley (Mrs.Jack)Zenith, Alexandria, Va.; Robert (Margaret), San Francisco; and Betty Birk May, deceased. They had seven grandchildren and nine n. Neldon died in 1949. Edna has lived over 50 years at her present address. Prior to that time she followed Nelson as he pursued the mining profession. Edna managed Mary Jean's Dress Shop for 35 years, until it closed in 1981. Since that time she has travelled in the United States and foreign countries. VSAVINGS O.B0NDS Aubrey Miner will be performing in the upcoming play of "Annie" at the Hale Theater. Aubrey was cast as the orphan Tessie. She will be performing three nights a week beginning in April, continuing through the first part of June. Over 300 girls auditioned for "Annie." There are two casts of six orphans and the part of Annie. daughAubrey is the 1 ter of Mark and Darcy Miner of Highland, and is in the sixth grade at Sego Lily Elementary. Doris Gardner gave a very informative report on the recent Utah County Women's Legislative Council meeting, where Dr. Steven Babb, gerontologist at the American Fork Hospital, was the guest speaker.
