Show DELICATE TIMES - FEBRUARY 15, 1996 - 5 — A Valentine — A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO OUR CV TOWN OFFICIALS AND POA OFFICERS, INCLUDING THOSE WHO HAVE RECENTLY RETIRED. I want you to know how much I value you and the time you've dedicated to our community's future. I've watched you serve with care and intelligence, doing your best while learning on the job to do the dozens of tasks and make the hundreds of decisions it takes to run a town or POA. And all this through times which would try a saint drawing a large paycheck! In private conversations I have been impressed—no, amazed—at the patience and good will you've preserved in the face of mistreatment by some of your constituents. AndI thank you for that, too. I resent the attitude of distrust, disdain, hostility, and smugness I have seen directed at you in numerous meetings over the past couple of cars. It makes me hesitate to attend. and I know you haven't had the option of staying away. That kind of hate feeds on itsel , and it is ugly to witness. (I'm not talking about honest. strong disagreement or probing, I'm talking about the small group of people who seem to need conflict and feed on it.) Yet I have been struck by the overall spirit of openness you have sustained in the face of that. Good for you! I appreciate you! Thank you! You are doing (and have done) a great job! A BOUQUET TO THE CV TIMES. Thanks for our monthly Times and all the work it takes to keep it coming. The CVT not only provides important information on issues, it also gives me the pleasure of becoming better acquainted with the people who write the features or run the ads. We all just need to write more often and take the load off the staff. I learn a lot when I read the Times. Thanks, Jadr, Joan, and all the writers! MORE THANKS TO OUR COMMISSIONS, COMMITTEES, MEDIATION TEAM MEMBERS .Thanks, friends, for taking your turn and for doing your best. These are challenging jobs, and I appreciate your efforts for this community. AND TO OUR FIREFIGHTERS —you provide a sense of safety and security. Thank you for gaining the skills and then being so ready to drop what you're doing and come to help us when we need you. And a special thanks to Floyd. Sincerely, Cris Coffey CASTLE VALLEY COMMUNITY BOARDS February 15 , 1996 TOWN COUNCIL CVSR 2705 (4 yr term ends) MAYOR—-Va11i Smouse 12/31/97 Lois Oliver (Clerk) 12/31/97 Jayne Smythe (Hospital) 12/31/97 Pat Drake (Treasurer) 12/31/99 Dave Wagstaff (P&Z) 12/31/99 (CVSR) Box 667 Box 1704 Box 2501 Box 1701 Box 1704 PLANNING AND ZONING (3 yr term ends) Randy Jorgen 12/31/96 Joan Sangree 12/31/96 Jeff Whitney 12/31/97 Bruce Keeler (Chair) 12/31/97 Jake Burnett 12/31/98 (CVSR) Box 2802 Box 2806 Box 2006 Box 2812 Box 2706 BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT George Ottinger Tom Rees Rob Soldat Susan Ulery Bruce Keeler Fritz Bachman (alt) Karen Nunn (alt) (5 yr Term ends) 12/31/96 12/31/98 12/31/99 12/31/00 PC chair 12/31/98 12/31/99 PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION BOARD (CVSR) Box Box Box Box Box Box Box 1706 1806 2510 2204 2814 2709 2107 CVSR Box 2612 .
