I. A. was a very enjoyable and successful one. The party was a hard time party and about twenty guests came dressed in appropriate hard time costumes. Mrs. John Smith, Mrs. Victor Smith, Mrs. Odell Peck and Mrs. Lynn Fowler were the committee in charge. Louis Hardy, Wilford Russon and Lionel Hansen were captains of the three groups; Louis Hardy's group winning the prize. Ralph Worlton has been in the hospital since Monday with a severe cold. He is now improving. A baby girl was added to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Russon Tuesday at the hospital. Mrs. James Gough, Jr., recevied a inoperation on the hand for severe fection, Monday at the hospital. Mrs. Robert Fox has just about recovered from the burns and injuries suffered from a fall while carrying a bucket of hot water down the basement steps. Tom Woffington was treated for a cut wrist Wednesday morning at the hospital. The cut was strapped together and dressed, and Tom returned to school with his arm in a sling. The accident that caused the cut happened in the hall of the high school. As Tom was passing another student he brushed against him and received the cut from an open knife in the hand of the student who had no idea Tom would bump into him. fcadly Church News THIRD WARD PRIMARY J LEHI, UTAH $ The progress of the Era Campaign was explained by the stake direcm, Joseph Anderson. Stake Board members were urged to put forth every effort to meet quota. All M. I. A. workers, including stake board members, ward presidents, bishoprics, high council, stake presidencies and class leaders are urged to try and get the Improvement Era's help for this yeai. A musical festival is being planned by ward and stake music directors, to be put over in January quarterly conference. Spencer Cornwall of Salt Lake City is assisting the leaders. The Alpine distrct may assist the Lehi Stake in the Festival for the return help of Lehi. During the day articles, such as rugs, quilts, aprons, etc., will be on display for sale. Meat pies, chili, cocoa and cake will be available, so all school children will be able to buy a tasty lunch at noon, at an unusual price. Orders will be taken for any number of meat pies any time. In the evening at 8 p. m. in the Amusement Hall will be given the best program and one act plays ever given in Lehi. The program consists of special readings and dancing by out side talent, also realistic dance by Mrs. Shepherd, also very different one act play called "Misterious Mose," music and stunts. LEHI WARE-HOUSE- S ARE BEING FILLED The warehouses located at the Lehi factory with a capacity of about 350,000 bags of the Utah-Idah- o Sugar Company are being filleH with sugar at the rate of between 8,000 and 10,- 000 bags a day. The day lasting hours as three eight twenty-fou- r hour shifts are at work. The sugar company have adopted a new idea this year and are sacking part of the sugar in heavy white cotton sacks which does away with Should this sack the outer sack. is it thought that the prove practical old sack will in time be done away with. The new sack was adopted especially for use in the southern states. These states refused to buy the sugar unless it was in cotton sacks. The new sack will appeal to the customer because it is white and clean and sanitary looking container, and when it is dumped it will do away with that little fuzz or dirt that seems to cline with the old bur lap sack and falls with dumping. In addition to this when the sack is dumped it can be washed; the brand, which will wash out, will be removed and a good heavy piece of material similiar to toweling will be left, ready for use.
