Mullin or "Moon," as he is called by his dose friends, is not the typical Californian. He drives a jeep, listens to KSOP country tunes and studies philosophy in hopes of going on to law school. A surfer in his younger days, he now spends his time on the tennis courts, in the mountains or at the Marriot Library. Mullin said he must now concentrate on his studies because of the uncertainty of a professional tennis career. "I've got to look at it realistically. But when it comes down to tennis as a livelihood- -I just don't know." On the court Mullin has an air of confidence about him that leads one to believe he is cocky. But after talking to him for a few minutes, he appears really down to earth. "I like jeeping in the mountains to get away from it all," he explained. "If I can't do that, I'd just as soon listen to some country western music or read a good book." As far as tennis at the University is concerned, Mullin is disenchanted by certain aspects of the program. For as fine a team as we have, it is unfortunate that we don't have a badly needed, facility so more students could see on-camp- us play and participate themselves.
