Junior Seek Prom Help With Magazine Subscriptions The Bear River High School Class of '67 announced Monday a magazine drive to help raise funds for the class's Junior Promonade scheduled for sometime in April. Class members will canvass the community, taking orders for both new and renewal subscriptions of such magazines as Fiftli Ward R.S. Meets Monday Tremonton Fifth Ward Relief Society will be held next week on Monday at 2 p.m. instead of the usual Wednesday meeting, on account of the Thanksgiving holiday during the week. President Bertha Thomas urges members to be present for this final meeting of the month. George Aims Gardner, 73, died Nov. 12 at his home in Bear River City of natural causes. He was born March 31, 1892 in Deweyville, a son of Robert N. and Harriet Adallade Dewey Gardner. He married Cleopha C. Jensen Oct. 13. 1914 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died May 2. 1948. He married Florence Ireta Bourne Feb. 2, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. She died Nov. 20, 1957. He was reared in Deweyville before moving to Bear River, where he has served as Mayor. He was also active in church organizations, as a superintendent of Sunday School and a home teacher. At the time of his death he was a high priest in Bear River Ward. Surviving are the following sons and daughters, Darrell G., Brlgham City; Mrs. Jack R. Lorna Davis, Salt Lake City; J.. Phoenix, Ariz.; Carlyle Sheryl Robert, Bear River City; also seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and the following brothers, Leon Gardner, Honey ville; Dewey, Deweyville; Fawn, Riverside; Rulon, Denver. Mission to England in 1949 and had served as a stake missionary in the Mount Ogden Stake and Superin-tendenc- y Riverdale Stake and as a member of the mission presidency Terrace in the Washington Stake. He had been one of the seven presidents of the Seventies Quorum of the Ogden 5th Terrace Ward and Washington Stake. He has been well known in the Ogden area as a champion chess player. He was reared and educated in Fielding, moving to Ogden in 1945. Surviving are his widow, two brothers and one sister, J. Dewey Welling of Clearfield. Wendell H. Welling. Fielding; Mrs. Marion iPheobe Black of Salt Lake City. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Myers Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Boyd G. Mr. Welling was born Sept. 9. 1908 in Fielding, a son of Job A. and Selena Wood Welling. On Dec. 1. 1958 he was married to Lorraine Burt in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. He was a retired employee of Hill Air Force Base. He was a Seventy in the L.D.S.
