Show Myrle Petersen of Ogden and Mrs. Limb. Mrs. Catherine Limb accompanied Mrs. Petersen to Ogden to spend a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Ellery Hall have left to spend the summer months at their cabin in Island Garland Couple Return Home After Vacation in by Florence Munson Mr. and Mrs. Devers Owens have returned after spending the past two weeks on vacation. They visited with Mrs. Owens' parents. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hughes, her sister, Mrs. Ralph Sutter and family at Springfield, Mo.; with her brother, Nelson Hughes and family in Clay Center, Neb. They also visited with Mrs. Owens sisters, Mrs. Frankie Tolvert and Mrs. Clyde Thompson in Ashgrove, Mo., and with his brother, Richard Owens and family in Kansas City. Returning home they hit the high flood waters at Garden City, f '., v i Mid-We- st Kansas and had to detour north across the Little Piatt River. This bridge was washed out just a few hours after they had crossed it. Mrs. Owens sister, Mrs. Frankie Tolvert of Ashgrove, Mo., accompanied them home and will remain indefinitely. Entertains Bridge Club Limb graciously entertained the Bridge Club at her home Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Naomi Oyler was a special guest. Prizes went to Mrs. Ruby Nielson, Mrs. Edith Hansen and Mrs. Alice Nye. Saturday guests at the home of Mrs. Ida Boss were Mr. and Mrs. Chester Boss of Salt Lake City. C. W. Wood and Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell Wood visited with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davis and family in Logan Sunday. Mark and Jay Archibald of Sunset are spending a few days with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Hodges and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jensen. Monday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Hodge and Mrs. Berkley were Mr. Parkinson and son, Bradley, of Rexburg. Ida. Mrs. C. P. Petterson visited with her daughter, Mrs. Mary Isom and family in Salt Lake City last week. Sunday she accompanied Mr. and Mrs. C. J. with Wood to Logan to visit relatives. Mrs. Vera Westergard graciously entertained the Pinochle home Thursday Club at her evening. Mrs. Mozelle Hess was a special guest. Prizes went to Mrs. Hess, Mrs. Phyllis Wood and Mrs. Kitty Minson. A delicious dessert was served. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Westergard Friday were Mrs. Carma Staley and daughter, Sandra, of Washington, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Davis accompanied by Mrs. Lois Davis of Tremonton attended a wedding ceremony and reception for Mr. and Mrs. Mark Davis in Salt Lake City Saturof day. Mark is a nephew Oliver Davis. Arriving this week from Albuquerque, New Mexico are Mr. and Mrs. Max Hodge and children, Karen and Steven. They will visit with Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Hodge. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Frederickson drove to Salt Lake City Saturday to the airport where their nine year old daughter, Robin, left by jet for Stockton, Calif., where she will spend two weeks with her sisters, Mrs. Donna Babylon and family and Mrs. Connie Merybeli and family. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Jensen spent the weekend with relatives in Shelley, Ida. Celebrates Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. James Shum-wajoined Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wilcox, Mr. and Mrs. Brent Palmer of Salt Lake City at Maddox Ranch House in Brig-haSaturday evening for a dinner party in compliment to Mr. and Mrs. Shumway who were celebrating their wedding y anniversary. Jess and Jay Petersen who had been spending a week with their grandparents returned to their home in Salt Lake City. Family Returns Home Miss Dorothy Capener who has been teaching school in Whittier, Calif., has arrived to spend the summer months with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Capener. Arriving Friday of this week from Turkey are Mrs. Kent Blackham (Mary) and children. Holly and Richard. Kent Blackham who was injured in an automobile accident in Greece was released from the Lettermans Hospital in San Francisco Wednesday. The Blackhams will visit with Mrs. Blackham's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Capener and with Mr. Blackham's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Blackham in Deweyville. Mrs. Ross Thorsen and daughters. Sue and Jean, of Salt Lake with City have .been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Earnel Nielson. Jean remained to spend a week with her grandparents. On Tuesday a grass fire was started by an unknown cause. The quick action of neighbors kept the blaze from damaging his barn yard and out buildings. On Wednesday a blaze was started by boys with matches down in the river bend. A pile of cedar post ties and some machinery were lost. Gwen Holmgren and Diane Jensen participated in the Music Festival held at the U.S.U. at Logan last week. Leone Hansen and children Mary Fae and Leslie left for a Park vacation in Yellowstone last week. Larrie Marie Iverson spent Thursday and Friday in Brig-havisiting Sharon Ashley at home. the Robert Anderson Friday night she attended a party in honor of Terri Richard and stayed with the Richards that night. Son Injured In Accident Herbert Edwards was in town on business Thursday. They have left Willard and are living in Pocatello where he is selling building supplies to contractors over eight counties. They had been in Pocatello just three days when their youngest son, Alvin, was hit by a car. His pelvic bone was broken in two places. A quilting bee was held at the home of Thora Anderson last Thursday. Mrs. Anderson served a lovely dinner to eight ladies. Damsel Nelson and Peggy Porritt were in Ogden Thursday visiting Janae Duke at the Dee Hospital. Dcwcy and Flossie Ramsdell left Tuesday morning for Strawberry Reservoir to do a little fishing. They returned Thursday evening. Dewey said it had rained the full time they were there. The Dee Ramsdell family attended the Thorpe family reunion held at Hyrum City Park up Blacksmith Fork Canyon Sunday. Pearl Hall was hostess to her club Saturday afternoon. Cards were played and a delicious lunch served. Welcome Visitors Leon and Jennie returned from Chicago just in time to welcome visitors from Seattle, Wash. Their daughter.
