Mr. Hess retired in 1961 after operating a milk route for twenty-five years. Mrs. Hess has served as a substitute teacher at the schools. They are the parents of four sons and one daughter, three of whom are living. They are: Mrs. Lewis (LaFae) McFarland of Arimo, Ida., Bishop Percy Hess of Ogden and Joseph Hess of Roy. They also reared one of their grandsons, Karl Hess of Salt Lake City. They have 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. -. if.. X . X. '.' 4 Johnson Claims Miss Swan as Bride in June Nuptials C. interest locally is the nouncement of the marriage of Miss Ruth Swan and Robert C. Johnson on June 29 in Las Vegas, Nev. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Deloras Swan and the late Robert Swan - of Los Angeles. The newlyweds were honored at a reception at the home of Mrs. Swan, following the wedding. Robert is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Johnson of They are planning an open house for the newlyweds on July 7 in the Tremonton Second Ward hall. The new Mrs. Johnson has attended Glendale ' and Pasadena Colleges and is presently Casuals employed by Campus of Los Angeles, as a fitting model and receptionist. Mr. Johnson has attended Utah State University, Weber College and has completed two years of service with the Armed Forces. He is employed by Bronco Western Insulated Wire Co., of Los Angeles as a Sales California and Arizona. Mr. Dallin is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Dallin of Bear River City. He is a graduate of Utah State University, and farmed five years before completing his work for a bachelor degree in agronomy. Mr. Dallin will work as a soil scientist in the Northern and Central Soil and Water Conservation Districts under the direction of soil scientist George staff memGreen, a long-tim- e ber in Oregon. Using aerial photos, he expects to map the wide variety of soils in that area, classifying them on the map and information of value in judging productivity and possible future soil uses. V "h - 0 , " r """vl" RAY Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon in Preston, Ida., for Ray Heusser, at his 72, who died Sunday home in Preston of a heart attack. He was born Feb. 4, 1893 in Weston, Ida., a son of William and Mary Lund Heusser. He married Chloe Nielsen, Sept. 28, 1921 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He retired five years ago after 40 years as a distributor of Sinclair products. Surviving are his widow, two sons, Blaine R., Salt Lake City; Glade R., Preston; five grandsons and one brother, Joseph by Mrs. Jeny Wood Billy Myers left Thursday by bus for Waco, Texas. After visiting in Waco he will go on to Kleen, Texas where he will visit his brother, Bob and his wife who are stationed there with the armed forces. Mr. Hess was born Feb. 20, 1897 in Fielding a son of James Henry and Elizabeth White Hess. He was reared and educated at Fielding. Mrs. Hess, the former Catherine (Kate) Morgan was born Dec. 21, 1894 at Samaria, Ida., a daughter of Joseph and Mary Clarkson Morgan. Margaret She received her education at Utah State Agricultural College at Logan.
