VJD Red Cross Drive Choir Will Perform By The Bear River A Capp-ell- a Choir will perform for the Western Division of the National Music Educators Convention which will be held March 0 at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake City. The choir will sing Monday, March 28, at 4:30 p.m. The choir was the only high school choir in the state of Utah chosen for this distinguished honor. The choir auditioned by tape and passed both the Utah and San Mateo, California auditioning committees. They were then notified by the President of the Western Division Music Educators, A. J. Campagna. This will be one of the most critical audiences the choir will perform for because it will include music educators from all over the United States. Other groups performing at the convention will be the East High Symphony Orchestra, BYU Orchestra, North Cache Junior High Band, Weber State Trombone Choir, BYU Synthesis Mrs. Portage: Est-e- October - "Autumn Lea- ves" by Cleo Barrus. November - "ThanksgivPrayer" by Jeanne Steed, Marie Riggs, Jean Nelson. December - "Silver Bells" by Colleen Garfield, Shelly Lewis, Debbie Hirschi. Stake leaders were hostess to their particular birthday month. A lovely luncheon was served together with beautifully decorated birthday cakes. Each hostess recited a short poem for their birth A birthday party was held in conjunction with the regular leadership meeting on March 10 held at the Tremonton Second and Fifth Ward. Residents will be contacted at home by identifiable Red Cross volunteers. Business and financial establishments will also be solicited. Each contributor will receive a membership card which acts as a receipt for Korth. V. Hansen, Mrs. Blaine Hill, During March additional $1,700 in housing funds to assist low income families. Governor Monson agreed to be the featured speaker at the town's dedication ceremonies for the new combination town hall-fir- e station. The announcement came during the March meeting of the town board which was conducted by Karl M. King, town president. She was born January 17, 1887, in Salt Lake City to Joseph E. F. and Evelyn Rossette Hammon Pugsley. She married Charles Edward Kunzler on November 5, 1913 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died May 4, 1964. She was a member of the PaVk Valley LDS Ward and had served in the past- as Relief Society president and Relief Society visiting teacher, Sunday School and Pri- ' 1!
