VOLUME 52 NUM Broken Sewer Line Causes Damage r area met with the City Council last night regarding a broken sewer line that has caused a considerable amount of damage to a number of homes in that area. Dr. Woodbury, said that these people are just a little bit disgusted and concerned about what is going to be done in the way of taking care of this problem. Mayor Sandall, then said that Auction To ie he knew what had happened, but was not aware of the amount of damage that had been done. He told this delegation that he would be in contact with the Hartwell Construction Co. this morning to find out what their intentions were. During construction, on 6th North, the construction company dug under the sewer line approximately four to five feet to lay their line, then before filling it in, they put boards under the sewer line to keep it from giving away then covered the line up. This held for two days before 11 feet of mud and clay caused it to break and the mud and clay then went on to the sewer line causing it to break and back up into the basements' of several homes in the Bessinger area. Mayor Sandall assured the group that he would act on this matter immediately and he would have a man come up and look at the damage that had been done. One concern ofthis group was whether or not this construction company was bonded. Nell, as she is fondly called by all, claims recognition for her many achievements of service and dedication to her family, church, and community. She is the daughter of Joseph M. and Elva Fenton Bezzant. She was born in Brigham to Magna at the age of two. Here is where she spent her girlhood. She attended school in the Granite School District and graduated from Cyprus High school and Seminary. Where she was very active in all student affairs and music. She graduated from the Uni. versity of Utah, then taught school in the Granite District prior to her marriage to Garland W. Puzey in the Salt Lakel Temple. They lived in Kama s, Salt Lake, Cedar City before making a permanent home in Tremonton. Ddb - Howell Ward members are hosting a bouffef supper for the. county NFO on Wednesday, March 14th at their Cultural Hall. Tickets are being sold by NFO officers to members and the general public throughout the county. All proceeds will go to the ward for their building fund. The supper time is 7:30 p.m. NFO will feature as the program speaker, DeVon Woodland, National Vice President. Mr. Woodland was born in 1929 in Blackfoot, Idaho. He is married and has a family of four boys and four girls, from the ages of 19 months to 16 years. DeVon and his family operate a 340 acre Irrigated farm. They produce cattle, sheep, milk, row crops, hay, grain, and potatoes. Woodland went to work building NFO almost Immediately after he joined. He was the third member to join in the Western expansion of 1967. President." Tremonton Man - 4 Receives , Appointment HA Dennis Ottley, Manager of M. H. Kings, left Tremonton this week to assume new responsibilities in Idaho. He managed the store in Tremonton for approximately three years. Since moving to Tremonton the Ottleys have been quite active In community affairs.
