Literary Club Holds Annual Party Fun, food and relaxation was the order of the day when the ladies of the Tremonton-Gar-lanLiterary club met for their annual Summer party Wednesday. The group motored to the Ogden canyon home of G. F. Stallings, who is the father of Mrs. Inez Brown of Garland. There in the beautiful garden, overlooking the mountains, a delicious luncheon was served to nineteen club members and two guests, Mrs. Ethel Petterson and Mrs. Vida Lind. A series of games, under the direction of Mrs. Louise Day were played by the ladies. Then a most interesting travelogue about Egypt. Jerusalem and the problems of the Arabs and Jews were presented by Mrs. C. Alex Hogge, who had just returned from an extensive tour of those places. All the arrangements of the party were made by Mrs. Leona Anderson and Mrs. Inez Brown. ATTEND NISH REUNION The Ray Whitings, Earl Pearsons, Ivan Archibalds, Jasper Rudds, Newell Nishs, Orvil Nishs were among those who attended the Nish reunion at Logan canyon Saturday. Joan Lamb, Anna Marie were in Providence Monday night where they played ball with the Johnson Concrete girls team of Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Dewaine Lamb were in Salt Lake City Thursday night and watched the wrestlers and Monday night to watch the Ogden Reds and Salt Lake Bees play ball. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Archibald and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Archibald were at the Jess Archibald home last weekend. Rodney Steed of Salt Lake City is spending the week at the Earl Pearson home. Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Nish of Logan was visiting relatives here Sunday. of The Wayne Archibalds Ogden and the Joseph Oylers of East Garland were guests of the Jess Archibalds Sunday. Michael and Allen Lee of Garland spent three days visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Archibald. Don Nish arrived home Thursday from Colorado where he has been stationed with the Air Force. He plans to go to Montana to work on his father's farm. JOINS HUSBAND IN CALIFORNIA Mrs. Erma Heslop Barf uss left last Friday for San Francisco to be with her husband Alan who is at Fort Ord, California. Mrs. Ilia Saunders and children of Logan have been spending several days with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Heslop. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Mortensen attended the Ransom reunion at Preston last Saturday. Mrs. Elizabeth Austin, mother of Mrs. Arthur Erickson, returned to her home in Idado Falls Monday after spending a week here. FLIERS ON FISHING TRIP Merlin Romer and Wayne Larsen, accompanied by Bill Goring and Merlin Jackson, flew to Sulphur Creek, Idaho early Tuesday morning to salmon fish for several days. Mrs. Alden Thompson and new son returned home Saturseveral day after spending weeks with her parents in Providence. Her sister, Mrs. Blanche Madsen, came with her to help her for awhile. PETERSEN INJURED IN FALL Mrs. Carol Ward of Blooming-ton- , Idaho spent last week here helping her mother, Mrs. William Peterson, who was down with a badly bruised back received in a fall at her home. DON PARKER Carolyn Jensen And Don Parker Recite Wedding Vows In Temple Ceremony Summer wedding vows were exchanged by Miss Carolyn Jensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eph C. Jensen, and Don Parker, son of Mr., and Mrs. Thomas Parker Jr. of Ogden, on June 12 in the Logan L.D.S. Temple with President George Raymond officiating. The Pioneer room of the Bluebird formed the setting for a wedding breakfast which honored the young couple following their nuptials. Places were laid for thirty-fou- r family members and friends. In the evening the newlyweds were further honored by a reception and dance at the new Tremonton Third ward. They greeted their guests before an archway bedecked with iris and delphinius and flanked o n either side by candelabra. The bride selected a self styled gown of white satin and Chan-tilllace over nylon net. The fitted bodice was enhanced by a dropped, long, pointed sieves, a scalloped butterfly collar, and dainty lace covered buttons. Four alternating tiers of lace and satin formed the very full skirt and sweeping back train. A cap, covered by identical Chantilly lace and ruffled illusion set off by a row of lace covered buttons, caught up the fingertip length veil of double bridal illusion. Both the wedding gown and veil were made by the bride's mother. The bridal bouquet consisted of a white orchid surrounded by talisman roses and lily of the valley. Mrs. Reed Jensen was matron of honor. Maid of honor was Miss Camille Cutler, while Mrs. Donald Petersen, Mrs. Jerry Buchanan, Miss Beverly Boyack, and Miss Sydna Jensen were attendants. The attendants wore pastel ballerina length formals of nylon net over taffeta of green and peach, accented by white ribbon at the waist and neck. Best man was Robert Critch-low- , and the ushers were Karl Jensen and Boyd Cook. The bride's grandmother, Mrs. Eli C. Anderson served as hostess during the evening. Shirley Burns of Ogden was at the guest book. The gifts were recorded and displayed by the Mesdames William Storrer, John Anderson, Keith Anderson, John Marineau, Verl Anderson, Dean Anderson, and Miss Janice Christensen.
