Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Barnes are the proud parents of a baby girl born March 5th in the Brig-haCity hospital. Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Jensen of Thatcher are the happy grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Frehner of Salt Lake City were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Thornley. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Christensen and family visited Sunday in West Jordan with Mr. and Mrs. N. J. Butterworth and in Salt Lake City with Mr and Mrs. Ver Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Hy Petersen of Ogden visited Sunday at the Howard Fetersen home. n Mr. and Mrs. Darrell and family of Grantsville n and Mr. and Mrs. O'Dean and family of Las Vegas, Nevada were weekend guests at the home of their mother, Mrs. Lula Didericksen. m On Wednesday evening the Seventh Quorum of Elders staged their annual banquet in the Penrose ward hall. A delicious supper was served to the Elders and their wives. After the supper a program was presented by Mrs. Clair Christensen and her mother, Mrs. Ralph Adams of Santa Maria, California and her sister, Mrs John Kistner of Wyoming. Blaine McNeeley sang two numbers and Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Anderson of Bothwell pave an illustrated travelogue of their trip to the home of the Prophet Joseph Smith and surrounding points of interest. The following members were the committee in charge of the festivities: Mr. and Mrs. Clair Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Wight, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McNeeley, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Roche and Mr. and Mrs. Evan Christensen of Thatcher, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Egley of Penrose. ORVAL PETERSON. NOW A SERGEANT Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Peterson have received word that their son, Corporal Orval Peterson, has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Orval has been servnig in the army in Korea for some months. Mrs. Gunda Borgstrom and Mrs Amy Peterson were in Salt Lake City Wednesday.
