A picture show on fire prevention was given by Mr. Gunderson and Mr. Hadf ield in the ward recreation ball monday evening. The evening was under the direction of the stake trail builder leaders, Mrs. Francessa Summers, Mrs.- - Margaret Perry, and Mrs. Vera Johns. Other stake board members present were Mable Stokes, Mary Petersen, Phyllis Christensen, Doris Johnson, Ida Miller. Mrs. Johns was unable to come because of illness. A large group of boys and leaders were in attendance. Dr. and Mrs. Z. D. Roundy ol Chicago spent last weekend with their three daughters at the Roscoe Anderson home. They were enroute home from a convention in Davis. While here they also visited in Logan. Mrs. Roundy is a sister to Mrs. Anderson. It's good to be back again. Lots of events have come and gone since my last column. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Harris have returned from California looking as healts thy as ever, the George have been home on leave; The F. Chris tensens named their baby girl Debra; the L. Holda-wanamed their boy Steven Lyle; The Clair Firths named theirs Wayne LeRoy, and of course the D. L. Stokes' named their new daughter, Gaye. This column would not be complete however unless we said how much we all miss the Rudy Scholer family, who also made the news by leaving a h o s t of friends behind to make a new home in Burley, Idaho. , The good news that Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Newman are displaying a new bundle of blue at home this week has been received. Mrs. Newman was taken to the Ogden Hospital last week, complications were overcome and the new baby boy made his debute on the last day of June. Mrs. Rasmus Anderson has been quite ill during the past weeks. The entire ward Joins in wishing her a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs, Keith Rose and family spent the Fourth of July weekend on a canyon fishing trip. Keith just recently return ed from a business trip to Alaska.
