Show THE LEADER, Tremonton. Utah Letters From Servicemen The publishers of the Leader are happy this week to bring it's readers greetings from one of our servicemen, and invite others serving our country to use the columns of the paper to send greetings to thelr iriends in the Valley. We, at home are keenly interested in where you are, what you are doing, and how you feel about the fine work you are doing. We hope you will write us often, and we shall be glad to print your letters. Dear Mr. Rytting, Enclosed is payment for the Leader, which should pay for it until my service for Uncle Sam is through. Unless things take a big change for the worse. I am enjoying the service, mainly because there are so many fellows from Utah. We are able to hold our church services here as well as attend the services in the mission branches. I feel really fortunate in getting such a good set up here in the army. There are four of us here from Bear River Valley, however, at present Edamu Endow is attending cook's school in Indiana, and Bob Cutler is going to Virginia to school. be back before Ion? They'll Hess also from Devere though. Fielding, home on furlough, Is the other one belonging to our outfit. We are an agressor unit, and are looking forward to playing the part of the enemy at some of the major maneuvers around the country. Although we are busy and interested, we still enjoy getting together and talking over the news about the folks at home. Deep down we sure hope it won't be long until well be home also. Letters From Missionaries Dear Mr. Kytting: I've been trying for a long time to get a letter off to you but the time Just never lasts long enough. Before returning home I do want to thank you for sending the Leader to me each week I've enjoyed it so much and even have my missionary companions reading it too. Like the other missionaries from the valley I have looked forward to receiving it and appreciate very much the news it contains. The time one spends in the mission field really flys by fast and before you know it you have to pull up stakes. Right now I think I would be prefect-l- y content if someone else were taking my place aboard the S.S. Lurline Saturday. However all good things must end sometime be selfish and I shouldn't enough to deprive some other person privileges as I have had. I still have my testimony of the gospel and wonderful friends! and memories to remember. I'm very thankful for having had the opportunity of laboring as a missionary in Hawaii. to Aloha and everyone Thanks again for the leader. Sincerely Florence Larkln Dear Leader, This missionary work is the most wonderful work there is in the world . I know that the reason is because we are teaching the people something we believe in and know is true. We teach them, more or less, a plan of life based on the simplicity of the gospel as it was taught to the people by Jesus Christ himself. The gospel when grasped by people becomes the most wonderful thing there is, beautiful beyond comparison, because it is simple and easy to understand. Another thing that makes this work wonderful Is to know that we have the support of .the people back home and to know that they haven't forgot ten us. I, like every other one of the missionaries from Bear River Valley really appreciate your consideration of us in sending the Leader out. It serves a great number of purposes, em" mam swell people of the Bear River one of them, for me at least, is to keep me from getting homeValley. sick and wondering whats going yours, Sincerely because in the Leader we find Richard Petersen out.
