Here is a Case in Point In Ogden, in the State of Utah, a man named Mosher has been arrested on the charge of marrying a second wife while his first b living, while he knows she is living, and while she does not know that he is contracting a second marriage, while she is by no means consenting to such action, and while every circumstance makes this simply a case of common bigamy. But under the laws of this state that will have to go down on the records as another case of polygamy. Such a circumstance makes the basis of the reason why we ask the Utah legislature to erase the word "polygamy," ami insert the word "bigamy" instead. An ordinarv case of bigamy in New York-an- d that state has would not be telthem in scores- egraphed across the Hudsen River. A case of polygamy in Utah will be telegraphed all over the That is what United States. will be done with the case of Mosher. People in the Eastern states will read it, and believe it. Why shouldn't they? It is the record fact. By our own laws the man will be accused of polygamy. And yet it is not polygamy at all. There is not the first semblance of polygamy about it. His The man is not a Mormon. first wife is not a Mormon. His second wife--o- r the woman he has married in defiance of the ms not to be a member of any church. But this case is one more load t iat Utah will have to carry, because people reading it will be confirmed in their belief, planted by Fred Dubois and the Salt Lake Tribune, that new cases of polygamy are of constant occurrence in Utah. This is not fair to the State. The word should be changed to describe the crime. There is not the slightest desire to lessen the pains and penalties for polygamy. We do not ak, and neither does any other friend of Utah, that a way may be opened for legalizing plural marriages. But this is not polygamy. It is bigamy. The state is harmed hy the use of the former word. And since truth and a dicent regard for the interests of the state unite in commend-- i igan amendment of the statutes, it surely will be done at rs appointed Common ic The clerk's, recorder's, and sheriff's report I of fees collected during January 1907, and auditors' report of incidental expenses during January were pn senled and approved. It if lively and easy riding, very durable and lined inside with a special quality of rubber, which never becomes porous and which closes up small punctures without allowing the air to escape. We have hundreds of letters from satisfied customers stating that their tires have only been pumped up once or twice in a whole season. They weigh no more than an ordinary tire, the puncture resisting qualities being given by several layers of thin, specially prepared fabric on the tread. That "Holding Back" sensation commonly felt when riding on asphalt or soft roads is overcome by the patent "Basket Weave" tread which prevents all air from being squeezed out between the tire and the road thus overcoming all suction. The regular price of these tiro is 5s so per pair, but for advertising purposes we are making a special factory price to the rider of oulv f per pair. All orders shipped same day letter is received.
