He was born March 20, 1914 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Charles William and Edith G. Stockdaill Gordon. He married Mary Lou Sharkey February 22, 1974 in Huntington Beach, CA. Wells retired and moved to Beaver, Utah in 1974 to hunt and fish and enjoy life. He loved the mountains and skiing and motorcycles in his younger years. He was a Long Shoreman for 48 years. He dearly loved his children and wife. He is survived by his wife of Beaver; daughters, Karyn Jacklin of Grants Pass, Oregon, Janice Sibert of Seal Beach, C A. and Diana Swan of Huntington Beach, CA.; daughter-in-law Diane Gordon of Long Beach, CA.; numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son. Wells Gordon Jr., one sister and stepfather Gens James Olson. No services will be held as he donated his remains to medical sci- ence. Arrangements handled by Olpin Mortuary of Beaver. Aubrey "Tob" Main Street and West Side will be picked up on Tuesday, Dec. 29th. East Side will be picked up on Wednesday, Dec. 30th. Pickup will start at 7:30a.m. Please have trash out by that time to avoid missing it. Geraldine Beaver High Hawkins Milford... Geraldine "Genie" Banks Hawkins, age 62, fought a courageous but brief battle with cancer. She left these earthly bonds for a better life in heaven. Born March 25, 1930 in Milford, Utah to Ronald (Speck) and Eva Bowman Banks. She married Dewey Hawkins Jr. April 16, 1952 in Milford, Utah. Her talents were endless. She loved to sew and to quilt. She touched the lives of many with her special spirit. Her deep love for her family will always be with us. Survived by her husband; son, Dewey Brian, daughter and Robin and Brad Clark, all of son-in-la- Milford, grandchildren, Heidi, Shalyn and Kyla Clark, B.J., John, Darryl and Nathan Hawkins, all of Milford. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 12, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. in the Milford LDS 2nd Ward Chapel. Interment was in the Milford Cemetery under the Direction of Olpin Mortuary. "Until we meet again Mama". -- THIS SITE rue Trmcp School Happenings In Boys Basketball action last week the mighty Beaver Beavers traveled to Hurricane to take on the Tigers. It was an action packed game. Both teams were undefeated as they went into the game. The Beavers beat the Tigers 65-- 5 8 . Beaver is now ranked 1 in Region action. In Girls Basketball action the lady Beavers took on the North Sevier Wolves. It was a close game and the girls came out on top. The basketball teams are resting this week for Christmas and looking forward to more games after the holidays. In Wrestling last week the matmcn traveled to Parowan. All the matches were exciting and close, but the men outlasted the Rams. On Tuesday, December 22nd the wrestlers travel to Hurricane. The show choir performed an excellent Christmas program last Wednesday. This special choir was a great success. I send my Christmas wishes to all. Aubrey Tob' Skinner, age 86, passed away December 21, 1992 at his home. He was born August 27, 1906 to Henry Cartwright and Sarah Elizabeth Pattersall Skinner. Tob loved to go into the mountains and fish. He loved to ride his horses and be in the outdoors. He raised cattle and farmed in his younger years. He is survived by his brothers Ralph Skinner and Albert Skinner, both of Beaver; 2 nieces and 6 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Margaret Jensen. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 24, 1992 at 1 1 :00 a.m. at the Olpin Mortuary in Beaver. Friends may call at the Mortuary one hour prior to services. She was born April 24, 1 898 in Beaver, Utah to William Thomas and Florence Jane Woodbury Hodges. She married Charles Loyal Baldwin April 10, 1919 in the Salt Lake Temple. He died June 14, 1983. Thelma was a member of the LDS Church where she served many years as a visiting teacher and supervisor. She served in the MIA, taught Sunday School for 8 years andserved a Stake Mission with her husband. They did Ordinance work in the St. George Temple. She loved camping and fishing with her husband and friends. She was a very good cook. She spent the past 8 12 years living with her children in Ogden, Orcm and Beaver. She spent most of her last 2 years at Ken and Leona Baldwins home in Ogden, Utah. She was a member of the Wilson 2nd Ward. She loved and enjoyed her great grandchildren and remembered their baptisms, marriages, and missions with a gift. She is survived by sons Donald and Carcne Baldwin of Beaver, Kenneth and Leona Baldwin of Ogden, daughters LaRue and Charley Smith of Washington, Utah and Lillis Gundcrson of Central Valley, CA., 2 Verna of St. daughters-in-law- , George and Sue of Beaver; sister Ella Laub of Tooclo, Utah; 29 grandchildren, 79 great and 8 great, great grandchildren. Preceded In death by sons, Charles Eugene and William Garth Baldwin, 2 grandsons and 2 great grandsons. Funeral Services were held Saturday, December 19, 1992 at 1:00 p.m. In the Beaver 1st Ward Chapel. Tiffani Moyes Clinger were married December 18, 1992, in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. Tiffani is the daughter of Jay I. and Susan Moyes of Phoenix. She is a graduate of Shadow Mountain High School and attends Brigham Young University. Mark is the son of John W. and Arlene Clinger of Idaho Falls. He is a graduate of Shelley High School and attends Brigham Young University. He served an LDS mission in Hong Kong. Out of town guests attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Blake Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Smith, Ryan and Amy Yardley, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Yardley, Eric, Lacey and Kyle Yardley and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Yardley. Family and friends gathered after the wedding to enjoy a wedding dinner at the "Landmark" in Mesa. A reception was held at the Stake house in the evening to honor the young couple. An invitation is extended to friends and neighbors to attend an open house held in their honor that Our Town By Mildred Yardley A surprise birthday party was held the past week by family and friends for Dell Hollingshead. Dell has managed Arshel's Cafe for several years along with the help of his mother, Roma. Many friends came to wish him well and enjoy the evening of visiting and food that was prepared for the guests. Mrs. Carma Sly and husband have been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Don Sly. They left to enjoy a month at Lake Havasu. Mrs. Bernice Black is visiting in Riverton, Wyoming with her sister Ada since her illness. Marine Lance Cpl. William S. Killam, a 1991 graduate of Milford High School of Milford, Utah, was recently promoted to his present rank while serving with 4th Light Armored Vehicle Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Tooele, Utah. He joined the Marine Corps Reserve in July 1991. Lance Cpl. Killam in the son of John R. and Margaret B. Killam of West Jordan, Utah. A Thank You New Arrival Bret and Denise J. Bradshaw are happy to announce the birth of their daughter, Kelby Ilynn Bradshaw. Kelby was born November 9, 1992 in the Beaver Valley Hospital. She weighed 7 lbs. 15 12 oz. and was 21 12 inches long. Grandparents are Lynn and Glenna Bradshaw of Beaver and Chad and Joyce Johnson also of Beaver. Great grandparents are Warren and Enid Johnson of Milford, Margaret Grimshaw of Milford, and Ilynn Bradshaw of Manderfield.
