Golden Watt at Thatcher Saturday The body of SSgt Richard Watt, who was killed in the Philippines on June 29th, 1943, arrived in Tremonton Thursday Services will be conducted Sat urday at 11 a.m. at the Ward Chapel in Thatcher by bishop James Wight. Sgt Watt was born September 11, 1918 in Thatcher, a son of William L. and Mabel Wheatley Watt. He was reared in Thatcher and graduated from Bear River high school. He was active in the M men program of the Bear River stake, and served as a home missionary for three years. He enlisted in the army air corps in August 1940 and left for the Philippines November 1st, that year. Rasmussen Buried Thursday W. E. Warren Edward Rasmussen, 44, died Sunday morning at the Valley hospital after a two-mont- hs illness. He had previously had an operation in a Salt Lake hospital. He was born April 29, 1905, in East Garland, Box Elder county, a son of Nels and Dahlia Petersen Rasmussen. He was reared in East Garland and attended Bear River high school. He married Florence Crowther Slake Meetings Are Changed The South Bear River Stake welfare meeting will be held as usual at 10 a.m. Sunday morn ing, but this month, it will be held in the Tremonton Second ward building. The bishops will meet at 1:15 and the stake Relief Society will meet in union meeting at 2:30. also in the Second war. AIR FORCE MEN BAIL OUT AT BEAR RIVER CITY Five crew members of a trans port plane bailed out over Bear River City Thursday morning, when the wings were icing up. The pilot, Captain Nicholas Evanco, ordered the men to leave the plane, then he was able to fly to Hill Field and land safely. Peace officers in this section were asked to search for the. men. A sheriff's posse from the county located the men about an hour after they had left their plane and took them to Corlnne, The plane was not damaged and the men were not injured. Lynn Howell Jensen, 23 was killed almost instantly Monday morning, when the truck he was driving failed to make a turn in the road and turned over. The accident happened on the Hansel Valley highway, 35 miles west of Tremonton. Eert Buzenbark, 59, of Garland, an occupant in the truck was thrown clear of the truck. He suffered several broken ribs and a possible broken collar bone. He was brought to the Valley hospital by a passing motorist. Mr. Jensen, an employee of the Jim Woods garage in Garland was driving a 2 ton Ford truck belonging to Ott Stevenson of the Quaker Crystal S;dt Co.
