AFTERNOON BRIDGE CLUB MEETS CIVIC CLUB GUESTS AT HARRIS HOME The Thursday Afternoon Bridge clug met at the Oak Cafe with Edith Summers as hostess. Luncheon was served and Mrs. William Storrer, Mrs. Ross Miller and Mrs. Raul Rice captured the prizes for the afternoon's play. 20 The Civic Club met January of Mildred Harris. Hall and son. of Hyrum, spent last weekend at the home of Mrs. Hall's parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. Brough. ENTERTAINED Mrs. Melvin Hamilton graciously entertained the J. S. S. Club at her home Wednesday evening, with Vesta Moore and Marjorie Mason as special guests. Luncheon was served and a program followed during which Beth Reese gave a review of the "Book of Poems," compiled by Ted Malone. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Shuman served a turkey dinner Sunday in honor of their wedding anniversary. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. Herman Everts, Mr. and Mrs. Ward Shuman, Mrs. Olivia Heed, and Mr. and Mrs. George Baxter and two sons, all of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Mart Hansen and sons spent Saturday viisting relatives in Brigham City. Dr. and Mrs. J. C. Stocks, of Bountiful, were Sunday guests at the home of their daughter, Mrs. J. M. Schaffer. . OBSERVE WEDDING ANNIVERSARY A surprise birthday party was held in the Evans Ward Monday evening in honor of Herman and Norman Andre ason. The communreity enjoyed a program and a speincluded which freshments, cial cake for the honored guests, and gifts were presented to the boys. Members of the Towne Club met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Guy Johnson for their evening of Bridge. Dinner was served at 7:30 after which two tables of Bridge were In play for the evening. Prizes went to Mrs. Douglas Cannon and Mrs. L. J. Curnmings. Mrs. Russell Waldron, a new member of the club, was also present. Mrs. J. M. Schaffer entertained a group of eight lady friends Monday evening at a delightful Bridge party. After the delicious dinner, the game was enjoyed and prizes for play went to Mrs. Fred Gep-ha- rt and Mrs. Harry Drew. Mrs. P. E. Ault and Mrs. T. A. Carter entertained the members of the W. S. C. S. Tuesday evening at their home. Devotion was given by Mrs. L. G. Rose and Mrs. Reginald Goff read a paper. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. H. T.
