The organization was patterned much after the organization used by similar livestock associations through out the state on National Forests. This organization was developed under the supervision of the Farm Security Administration. Mr. Glenn F. Cowan, county RR supervisor, and Mr. Clarence A. Anderson, district RR supervisor assisted in the formation. The organization is designed for the purpose of coordinating the activities of the association with the Farm Security Administration and the Department of Grazing. It has long been felt that livestock men in Grouse Creek should have such an organization to properly control the development of livestock, which is the principal activity of all families living in the area. Through this organization, they plan to equalize the use of the recently purchased large tract of land from the Ogden State Bank by the Farm Security Administration. The association plans, in addition to its present activities, to lease these lands from the Farm Security Administration and administer them for the use of the people of Grouse Creek under a cooperative plan. The association met and approved the Constiution and governing all activities, and elected a Board of Directors for the years 1942-4Mr. Samuel S. Simpson was elected president; Gordon Hadfield, vice president; Raymond Tanner, secretary-treasure- r; Lester Carson and Raymond Kimber, board members. These officers are authorized under the terms of the to transact the necessary business for the organization. It is planned that the organization will attempt to assist in the buying and selling of livestock and livestock products for its members, to "develop efficient range management practices, and to take specific steps in the improvement of livestock in the area.
