LaMar Iverson, who was recently operated on for appendicitis in Brigham City, returned home Tuesday and is feeling much improved. He is at the home of his parents, Mr, and Mrs. Carl Iverson. Mr. and Mrs. LaMont Miller are staying in Brigham City for 2 weeks at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Reynolds. Trude Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Taylor, had a narrow escape from death Saturday evening while returning home from a dance, when he went to sleep while driving his father's car. He ran Into the large pile of gravel as he came around the curve by Moroni Mortensen. The front of the car was badly mashed and Trude received a cut on the back of his right leg which required nine stitches to close. Trude's many friends hope for him a speedy recovery. LMrs. Nancy Holmgren and Miss Flora Hansen were Salt Lake City visitors Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Holmgren of Garland and Mr, and Mrs. Ralph Jensen of this city returned home Sunday evening after spending two weeks in California visiting places of interest. Mr. and Mrs. Victor N. Hansen and family spent Sunday in Ogden,. Newell C. Checketts, son of Bishop and Mrs. Charles Checketts of this city, and Miss Rula Rasmussen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Rasmussen of Honeyville, were married Wednesday in the Logan temple. Both young folks are graduates of the Box Elder High School. Elder Checketts recently returned form a three year mission to Germany. The young couple will make their home in this city. The Leader extends hearty congratulations. The Ladie3 Literary club met Friday at the home of Mrs. LaVinia Barker. At 2 o'clock a delicious hot lunch was served at one long table.
