Beal has accepted the invitation of the Uintah Basin Industrial Convention and Indian Fair committees to conduct a complete section on public health and sanitation at the combined convention and Indian Fair this year, according to Dr. J. L. Jones, State Health Commissioner. The Basin Industrial Convention is to be combined with the annual Indian Fair at Fort Duchesne this year, Dr. Jones says, and will be held on August 30, according to the presentprogram. The two generalized discusBIOIIS IU ue given uue m uuc uiuiuuig and one in the afternoon of the 30th will be illustrated with moving pic tures. They will be conducted by Dr. Jones and D. C. Houston, Director of the Division of Public Health Educa ' tion. Other discussions will be presented on the same day before especially interested groups. They will be led by Dr. D. D. Carr, Director of the Division of Local Health Administration and Venereal Disease Control, Dr. William M. McKay, Director of the Division of Communicable Disease Control, and Messrs. Howard Hurst, Newell Pickett and Ellis Shields, of the Division of Sanitary Engineering. Mrs. Eva Ramsey, Deputy State Registrar of Vital Statistics, will be in attendance during the Public Health Day, August 30, to advise with local registrars. Mrs. Hazel Stevens, nutritionist for the Division of Ma ternal and Child Health, will be In attendance during all three days of the convention and fair. Sanitary conditions and facilities, Dr. Jones says, will be observed by E. R. Shields, State Board of Health Sanitarian in that district. The public health nurses in Uintah and Duchesne counties will maintain an educational exhibit on public health during all sessions of the convention. The Uintah Basin Industrial Convention has attracted the attention of the State Board of Health for several years, Dr. Jones says, and it has now become an institution of very real educational value, not only to residents of the immediate counties it serves, but its influence is felt in some sections of the State. The combination with the annual Indian Fair this year, Dr. Jones thinks, is a forward step, and will do much to broaden the utility and influence of one of the most unique gatherings this country knows. 4 -- POTLIGHI far-remov- HISTORY QUESTIONS Leopards spend most of their lives in trees but lions and tigers cannot 1.
