Brown in butter in a frying pan. To serve, stick prepared sweet gherkins Into an apple by means of the toothpicks. Grapefruit Aspic Salad Heat to boiling 1 cup grapefruit juice and 1 cup canned pineapple juice and dissolve 2 tablespoons gelatin soaked In cup cold water. Strain and cool. Pour over sections from 1 grapefruit, sections from 2 oranges and 4 slices of canned pineapple cut Into pieces and arranged in attractive design. Chill until stiffened in individual molds or one large one. Mrs. Peter Jensen returned to Lo gan, Tuesday afternoon. Harry Cook of Ogden visited friends and relatives here during the week. Wednesday night several couples enjoyed the party at Brigham City, sponsored by the merchants of Brigham City. Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. John Beck er of Ogden, visited relatives here. Friday night a shower and wedding dance was given in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Myrl Norr. They received many useful presents. , Mr. and Mrs. Horace Barnard had as guests on Sunday, Mrs. Joseph Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Keller of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Hansen, and, children of Salt Lake City, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Gardner. Emma Gardner of Ogden, spent the weekend here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Gardner. Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Wheatley had as their guests on Thursday, George May and Mr. and Mrs. Leon May of Melvln Burbank visited on Sunday ajt Malad. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Dewey have returned to their home here after spend ing the winter months with Dr. and Mrs. A. H. Dewey in Richfield, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Wheatley had as their guests on Monday, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Yates of Salt Lake City. Saturday, J. W. Ault and son, Wess, of Logan, called on Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Ault. Mrs. Charles Burbank, Mrs. Victor Burbank, and Mrs. A. R. Burbank enjoyed the quilting bee at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Gunderson was in charge. The program consisted of a talk on Bible Literature by Alma W. King, two vocal numbers by a trio Mrs. Art Linford, Miss LuVell Roberts and Miss Ethel Rogers, with Mrs. Millan Peck accompanist. Beat and Mrs. Chester Boss had as their guests on Saturday, Mr. and Mrs Joseph Symons, former missionary companions, accompanied by Dr. Hun ter and Miss Fletcher, all of Logan. The entire party motored to Salt Lake City in the evening and attended a missionary reunion. They attended conference Sunday and returned home Mr. I Lozene Apgood and son, of Salt Lake City, spent several days last week visiting at the home of Than Garn and also with Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Garn. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Welling entertained the Social Development Club members and their husbands at an April Fool's party Thursday evening at their home. The entertainment committee had charge of the games for the evening. A treasure hunt was conducted with Erwin Sutherland and Mrs. Leo Farnsworth being the winners. A contest between the men and women was held, with the men, of course, winning the game. After an evening of games and fun, a tray luncheon was served to 58. Eben Wilcox returned to his home last Wednesday from an eight weeks visit to the Pacific Coast. While there he visited with relatives and friends in Compton, Santa Monica and Los Angeles. Wednesday night the local school presented their annual show to a large audience. Each room presented a complete act. under the direction of their teachers. The costumes were very colorful and lovely and the children performed their parts in a very pleasing manner. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Hansen spent Thursday in Logan on business. Mrs. Dan Garn has returned home from a visit with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. English of Boise, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. English returned home with her. Mr. English was called into Ogden on business, and Mrs. English has been visiting with her mother and family. Wednesday Mrs. English and Mrs. Than Garn were in Ogden shopping and visiting relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Severson went to Farmington Saturday afternoon to visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Potter. They also attended the Sunday conference in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Cleo Wood was hostess to the Cleo Club last Thursday at the home of Mrs. Gertrude Hansen. Sixteen members and guests were present. Bridge was played. Lorenzo Hansen of Logan spent Monday visiting with his brother, Dwight Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. LaConte Earl and children and Miss Noreen Earl motored to Salt Lake City to visit for a few hours with their father, J. L. Earl, who is receiving medical attention in the L. D. S. Hospital in Salt Lake City. Mr, Earl is reported to be improving as weU as can be expected. Mr. and Mrs. Noble Peterson spent Saturday in Ogden visiting with relatives and shopping. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Smith and family spent the weekend visiting in Salt Lake City with their children. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Peterson were business visitors to Ogden last in the evening. Mrs. Grace Haws entertained at bridge on Thursday, April 1st at the home of her sister, Mrs. Fred L. Nye. Luncheon was served to twenty-eigh- t guests. Bridge prizes were awarded to Mrs. J., I. With Dr. L. N. Osmond as chairman, the new committee is composed of Dr. E. R. LeCompte. Dr. Edmund Murphy, W. S. Paine, D. D. S., Louise x. Kobinson and Miss Lucile Porter. The appointment of this committee was announced by Dr. ;j. L.
