Welling, who died Saturday at 4? the home of his mother in Brigham City, came as a sudden shock to the people of the valley, where he was widely and favorably known. Mr. Welling's home was in Salt Lake City, but formerly he resided in Riverside. Funeral services were held Monday in the Seventeenth ward chapel in Salt Lake City. The deceased was born February 16, 1897, in Riverside, Utah, where he lived until six years ago. For the past 3 years he has been .employed by the Star Laundry and before that was connected with the Continental Oil Company. He married Rose Rogers of Logan, 17 years ago in the Logan temple. Both were active in the Seventeenth ward at the time of his death. They became the parents of two children, Lex, 15 and Laneth, 9. Besides his wife and children Mr. Welling is survived by his mother, Mrs. Effie Richards Welling of Brigham City, and :the following brothers and sisters, Tracy Welling, L.
