D. S. Hospital. Hulda Miester returned also after visiting her sister, Mrs. Dockstader, for the past week. Mr .and Mrs. Dan Getz and small daughter of Elko, Nevada, called on relatives and friends here Wednesday and Thursday. T. O .Harris returned Sunday after spending a week in Portland and Bak er City .Oregon and Boise, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. George A. Pierson, Jr. of Edmunds, Idaho, were week end visitors at the home of George A. Pierson Mr .and Mrs. Oscar Dockstader of Rupert, Idaho, visited Tuesday at home of Mr. and Mrs. Demont Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thompson and Mrs. C. T. Thompson left Tuesday for Gunnison, to attend the funeral of Mrs. C. T, Thompsons sister, Mrs. Lena Fjeldsted. Mildred Stone of Brigham City, and Denton C. Black of Salt Lake City, were week end guests of Mrs. Mattie Stone. June Winchester entertained her Sunday school class at a marshmal- low roast at her home Saturday evening. Mrs. Carrie Drew was hostess at a silver tea given at her home Wednesday. Twenty ladies enjoyed the afternoon. Later refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Keller and daughter, Doris, and Mrs. H. C. Haight and two children attended the funeral of Mrs. E. T. Capener in Salt Lake City, Wednesday. Margaret Woodsides, Mrs. Ruth n ,Mrs. Sallie Gephart and Mrs. N. E. Shaw visited the Miriam chapter of 0. E. S. in Ogden, Tuesday evening. Mrs. D. W. Jenkins was a business visitor in Salt Lake City Tuesday. She attended a meeting of state executive committee of the W. C. T. U., also with the prominent dry forces of the state of Utah. Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas and two small children visited Sunday with Mrs. Thomas' parents, Mr .and Mrs. J. G. Bennett at Malad. Mrs. Gertrude M. Hanson returned to her home in Mink Creek Sunday after spending the winter at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. H. Keller. A number of relatives and friends gathered at the home of J. A. Frazier Sunday in honor of his birthday, he being 78 yers old. A delicious dinner was served to firty guests. A great surprise occured when his son, J. J). Frazier and family who have been gone 18 months, drove in from California. All enjoyed a delightful time. Miss Edythe Gephart was hostess at a bridge luncheon and shower Sat--1 urday afternoon in honor of Miss Jennie Peck, whose marriage to Wes- ley Gephart is to take place next month. Miss Peck was the recipient1 of many beautiful gifts. ' IN OLD SHIELD CAFE QUARTERS Miss Edythe Gephart entertained at a six o'clock dinner at her home on Under New Management Sunday evening to the following guests: Miss Virgie Fraughton, Miss Jennie Peck, George Blair, Dean Mus-sand Wesley Gephart. Friday afternoon the girls, of the primary, surprised their teacher, Mrs. Rodney Morrison, it being her birthday. A social afternoon was spent telling stories and playing games, after which lovely refreshments were served. The girls presented Mrs. Morrison with a cannon set. Mrs. Harry Taylor was hostess to the V. G. F. club last Wednesday. Besides the club members there were six special guests invited. After spending the evening sewing, a delicious luncheon was served at small tables.
