Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hess motored to Farmington, Tuesday morning to attend the funeral services of Mr. Hess' sister, Mrs. Elnor Manning of Farmington, who passed away Monday of last week. James Estep who was on the sick list the fore part of the week, is much improved and is able to be on his job at the Garland sugar factory, again. Melvin Wolverton was a business visitor to Brigham City, Monday of last week. Richard Hoskins of Portage, was a visitor of Don R. Lamb, Tuesday afternoon of last week. The road show sponsored by the M. I. A., of the stake, again visited our community, Thursday night, furnishing some real entertainment for the large crowd that were in attendance. Mrs. Hannah Hess and son, Ellis, left here for Ogden, Friday, where they expect to remain for a few days visiting with relatives and friends. Gerald Hess, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Hess of this place, had the misfortune of spliting his big toe with an ax one day last week while cutting wood, but is able to be around again by walking on his heel. Mrs. Grace Reinking of Hayward, California, and Mrs. Myrtle Keegan, of Oakland, California, are visiting here with relatives and friends.
