Show HBtoptA March 29, 2001 Team studying base environmental compliance in June by Julie Ann Utermoehien Emarcnmerttal Management Directorate During June, a team from Air Force Materiel Command will study environmental programs and compliance at Hill AFB. The annual External Environmental Compliance Assessment Management ECAMP screening will be teld the week of June 4 at the Utah Test and Training Range, Little Mountain and Carter Creek, and the week of June 1 1 for Hill AFB proper. The ECAMP team is made up of volunteers from bases within AFMC. Hill AFB has a number of environmental programs and ECAMP provides an opportunity to demonstrate this to AFMC and Program the Air Force. Each month until the External ECAMP Team arrives, a Hill top Times article will discuss one of the ECAMP protocols and information on how best to prepare for assessment within that area. Areas the ECAMP team will look at include water quality, hazardous waste, hazardous materials and air quality. Air Quality and Compliance areas that should be reviewed in preparation for this External ECAMP assessment include site notebooks, permits, maintenance requirements and operating arid moni- toring procedures.
