Ant Assault Held Over For April Court repaint him u ian vonsirucuon com- nanv of Ogden was awarded tne bid on the Castle Gate-Rolaroad project by the Utah state road commission Friday. The low bid of the Ogden concern was $180,000 or about $40,000 more than was contemplated for the job. The work must be finished by September 1 as it is a part of the government project totalling 4,000,000 and must be done by that time in order to get financial aid from the federal govern ment. The road will be 2.2 miles long and is one of the largest building projects attempted on roads in Carbon couty. When the road is completed it will shorten the distance between Castle Gate and Rolapp considerable,! cut out two river bridges and two railroad crossings. It will also keep the road, which is part of a transcontinental hiway system, on the west side of the river all the way up the canyon and will be built well above (he floor line of the river. The new road will have the federal rail alignment and gradient. The road was surveyed seven years ago but the work was never started because of lack of funds.
