Demonstrations were Real Features A meeting of the Poultrymen of Draper and vicinity was held in Club Hall at Draper, the night of August 21, and a large attendance was present. Owing to the absence of President A. R. Mickelsen, Director H. E. Stringfello.w conducted the assemblage. Although eo-operative buying of straw and other general business was cared for, the program consisted essentially of special feature work. Mr. Jensen of Porter-Walton Company gave a discussion of the problem of worms in poultry and held the keenest attention of the poultrymen. The problem of fire extfnguishers and fire fighting was presented by a specially invited guest who explained the operati.on of various fire guns, and gave a demonstration of the use of one model. The chief feature of the evening was the demonstration of egg candling and grading by Mr. Jack Harding, manager of the Draper Egg Plant: Mr. Harding demonstrated to the entire satisfaction of those present the difference between the various grades of eggs. He also gave some valuable suggestions on handling and casing eggs in the way that wm prevent un,neoessary breaka~e and depreciation in quality. General discussion and question and answers cleared up a number of questions that arose in the minds of the men and women in the business who were present. The Draper Poultrymen hold regular meetings of this nature the 20th of each month. SOClETY Sandy City Bank S. j. MICKELSEN CO.
