Mrs. Jessie Berrett was hostess Wednesday of last week to members of the Unity Club. Election of officers was carried out. Mrs. Jessie Berrett was elected to serve as president for two years wiht Mrs. Alice Burgon as vice-president. The other officers were retained in the offices they now hold. Mrs. Otilla Brown as secretary; Mrs. Carrie Coomber, corresponding secretary and Mrs. Lorie Baker, treasurer. Mrs. Golda Soffe, president and Mrs. Mildred Seddon, vice-president were honorably released. Dainty refreshments were served to Mrs. Lavina Fenstermaker, Mrs. Melva Evans, Mrs. Lorie Baker, Mrs. Carrie Coomber, Mrs. Alice Burgon, Mrs. Otilla Brown, Mrs. :\1:ildred Soffe, Mrs. Beatrice Cash, Mrs. Rachel Forbush. Club will meet March 17 at the home of Mrs. Beatrice Cash. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Johnson are rejoicing over the arrival of a fine baby boy born Friday, March 5. Mrs. Heber Johnson and children of Bingham spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Walker. Bishop Heber J. Burgon, Mr. and Mrs. Horace T. Godfrey, Misses Iona Oborn Freeman a n d Artheleen Wright were among those who attended the funeral of Mrs. Ruth Pack Dastrup in Salt Lake, Sunday. Mrs. Dastrup was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. Pack of Union. Mrs. Flora Walker, while cleaning house Wednesday of last week, had the misfortune to fall and break the bones in both wrists. The right one was broken in two place and· the left in the thumb bone. A family dinner in her honor was held at the home on Union avenue Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Thompson of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Earl White and Mr. Pete Dow of Salt Lake were in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. George Wright and children of Bingham, Mr. Norman Westbrook of Salt Lake, Mrs. Sam Mackie and Verna Gregory of Tay- Paper Hanging Calsomining Painting lorsville were birthday dinner guests Tuesday of Mrs. Nephi Gregory. Union will hold ward reunion Friday, March 12th. Program at 11 o'clock in the ward house. Dinner in hall. A play entitled, "Kempy" will be given in the evening. Admission 15c and 25c. Conjoint meeting was held Sunday evening in the ward house. Musical numbers were rendered by Floyd Graham who rendered two violin solos and a piano selection by Miss Gladys Smith. Miss Pearl Wilson of Sandy was the principal speaker. Mr. and Mrs. Reynold Brady, Mr. and Mrs. William Steadman of West Jordan, Mr. and Mrs. Almie Erickson of Murray and Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson were birthday dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. C. V. Erickson. Mr. Kenneth Brady visited Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Smart. Mr. David Nichols who has been confined to his home for some time was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Berrett of South Jordan and little daughter, Alta Maxine, Mrs.' Emma Greenwood and Mrs. Minnie Cox of Salt Lake spent Wednesday with Mrs. W. C. Burgon. Mrs. Carrie Johnson is a visitor in Sugar City, Idaho, guests of relatives. Mrs. Mary Freeman who was operated on last week for a bad knee is reported on the improve. Mrs. Sadie Proctor was taken to the hospital Friday to receive treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Gregory and Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Hanson of Salt Lake were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Sarah Lemmons of Brinton ward. Mrs. Nephi Gregory was a guest at a social last week at the home of Mrs. Baily at Sandy.
