Washington, March C The commissioner of the general land office today issued instructions to the register and receiver of the land office at La Grande, Orecon. in regard to the sale of a por tion of the Umatilla Indian reservation. The commissioner says the law directs that these lands be offered for sale to the highest bidder st not less than the appraised value, and in no case at less than 11.25 per acre.
