Sew t aad iarm. Jariuoa Ok Iro Minet. A quiet market ia till induced bjr th aietrtiad fever. Broken aiw all paiiti-euu- a now, mad promise to b aa for the ext week. After the election mitten wQl opea up tad traaefen will iBcreeea. A eoaimittee of Ogdea eotlemea waited oo. Mr. Bancroft, of the Union Pacific, yesterday at hi office in Salt Lake City, to ey that aa Salt Lake had made ao much of a rumpus over hia Bkoring hie office to Ogdea, Oedea mea were ready to tender him their and aeaiatanoe in any way poasible to farther the enda ia view. It aeema that the Salt Lake people have worked tbemselvea into a coakiiWabIa frenzy orer a very alight matter. It ia the intention of Mr. Bancroft to novo only hie pereonal office clerka and to Ogdea, ao aa to facilitate the handling of the buaineea of the road. Of course, thii means moving headquarter, and poaeibly the hops, etc will follow in the course of time, yet at present the entire row among Salt Lake's business men has been created by the contemplated re moral of some two dozen men from their city. It doeant take much to disturb sensitive people. However this move ia what haa been predicted for a long time. Ogden ia the center of all the roads in Utah, and better results can be obtained from handling a railroad at ita actual fountain head than by trying to do ao at arm's length, forty miles away. Ogden has always claimed that it was the natural location fir all railroad shops and headquarters oflkwa of the roads centering divisions here. It haa never been claimed that this claim was unduly made, and it is still made, and, furthermore, it is predicted tht.t the next few years will see them all atttled hare. Theatrical money is being invested in Ogden by .almost every troupe visiting here. Manager Bowes, of the opera house, yesterday told a reporter that the last troup invested some G,X) here in real estate. This is a good indication. Theatrical people are proverbially superstitious, and when they invest their funds it ia in a pretty thing or it don't go. Ogden will make them all ym-pel- e money. A gentleman from New England invested UflOQ in Ogden realty last December, lie was at tint quite anxious to sell, but yesterday refused 1000 on his purchase prion, saying that ty Ira u Tsaty-eicU- 5x339 fa aad Qaiacy at a est Twety4-nt- KML 1 a W0 M bargaia .,.
