The Ogdea Driving Park and Fair As- -' eociation filed articles of incorporation yesterday in the office of the county clerk. The object of the incorporation is "the improvement of the breed, training and development of horses ai d other stock, and the prevention and detection and punishment of fraud therein, and of diseases in the said animals; uniformity in government of running, trotting, pacing and other races; the power to buy and sell or lease, real state sufficient for the purpose of such race tracks, driving parks and ezhibi-bitio- n grounds, deemed necessary by the board of directors of such corporation and the improvement thereon for a driving park, fair frounds and the giving ot raceing meetings, agricultural and other fairs thereon." The capital stock ot the association is 400 shares of 925 each. The following shareholders are also directors, F. J. Mooey, Preston Blair. L. C. Lee, J. L Carlson, IL C. Corey, R. IL Slater, and J. W. Graham. The officers are L, C Lee, president; F. J. Moody, vice president; Newton Fair, secretary; and George Corey .treas- urer. The association already has fine grounds leased for number of years, and race track about completed. It is destined to be one of the valuable enterprises of Ogden. Mr. James Cole, of liiverdale, informs ' us that a company has just been organ ized for active mining 10 be called The Silver Bell Mining Company, of W lllard. The officers of the company are as follows: President, W. R. Cole, Riverdale; Treasurer, EliosCave, Ogden, Secretary. George F. Cave, Ogden; Directors, Richard Pelton and George W. Parnsh, of Willard. The company is already actively at work taking rich silver, lead and copper ore out of the mine known as "Alfred the Great," located near Willard. Recent assays of the silver ore from this mine showed a value of ninety-eigdollars per ton and the product grows better as the shaft is made deeper. A depth of over 75 feet has been reached and the working force is being constantly increased. The company has a large amount of ore on the dump now.
