I'tah 84751 ' Home and School: Letter to the Editor: My family and I have last 12 days traveling the spent across the USA. We have driven long and hard and, on Wednesday, October 1 1 chose to slow down and enjoy the beautiful state of Utah. After a day of many natural wonders and pleasant encounters with Utah residents we arrived in Beaver, exhausted but happy, and only two days from our ultimate in destination Northern Calif. On the advice of the folks at Best Western Paice Inn, where we checked in for the night, we parked our small trailer behind the Cottage Inn restaurant and settled in for some much needed rest. Early the following morning, Thursday, October 12, we discovered that my 15 speed, blue Puegot, women's mountain bike had been stolen from the top of the trailer. We have stayed in many small towns across America and have had no trouble with safety or theft.' We were so pleased with the warmth and charm of people we encountered in Beaver and went to bed praising the "civility" of towns in America like Beaver, Utah. Editor's Comment: It is unfortunate that your stay in Beaver County was marred by such an incident. Please realize that, in even the most decent and law abiding community, the senseless act of just one scoundrel can overshadow all of the good. Hope your bike is returned! Milford Drug & Gifts 464 S.
