V NO. 39 6PW Woman of Achievement By Mary Sower Sherrie Yardley is this year's Woman of Achievement. She is originally from St. George, Utah. She has one sister and two brothers. She has attended two years at Dixie College and one year atUtah State University in Logan, Utah, where she met her husband, Mike Yardley. She and Mike are the parents of five children: Michaela-ls- t year of college; Brandon-Hig- h School sophomore; Casey - 7th School senior; Kelly-Hig- h Shane2nd and grader. She has also had foreign grader; exchange students the past two years. The boy she has this year arrived only two days after she had been asked if she would like another student this year. Sherrie started "THE ZOO" preschool in 1991. She holds this at her home and does a terrific job. Just last year she expanded and now has a preschool class for 3 year olds one day v a week. Sherrie is a member of both the city and county library boards. She volunteers her time to read at Milford Library "Story Hour" every Friday afternoon. She is very active in the Milford Elementary PTA and has held several offices. She is also active the Milford High School Booster Club. She is a very dedicated parent and attends almost all of the Beaver County School Board meetings. Just this past week she was made Relief Society President of the Milford 2nd Ward. She is also a scout leader In her spare time, Sherrie is a "taxi service" for her children and she loves to read. She also takes classes to earn credits to finish her teaching degree. 1?
