I il-J- Milford golfers want course to a certified completed course. They contend that this would add not only to their own enjoyment, but could bring in tournaments and money. Scott Truman, former Farron City related his Councilman, in and experiences promoting building a course in a town of 1,800 population. "You need to do a reality check," he advised. Golfers at the meeting tentatively pledged donations and sweat equity toward the project. They agreed that the first step' is to eyaluate how much'is still intact of the four holes that have fallen into ruin. Councilman Sower cautioned, "Previous efforts have fallen apart because come wanted it this Way, and some another. The only way this will work is if we set a plan and stick to it." Lease money from the Phelps Dodge lease on the AT&T building is dedicated to the golf course. Phelps Dodge has notified the city that they do not want to exercise the purchase option on the building, and will be terminating the lease.
