Milford Tiger Wrestling Schedule & Top Kauai) 50-4- Milford elementary School has received a new beginning reading program. The program, The McOmber Phonics Storybooks, is written by Rachel McOmber, illustrated by Cynthia Black, and edited by Perry Kassing. It is published by Swift Learning Resources of American Fork, Utah, and includes a new computer, CD software, and over 1,400 pamphlet size books. The materials, valued at over $6,000.00, were made available through a grant and come at no cost to the school or parents. This new program is directed to parents for helping children read at home. Mr. Kassing, a professor at Utah Valley state College (UVSC), personally delivered the materials to the school. While here, he explained that he has been supportive of parent involvement for many years. He went on to say that the premise supporting this project is that parents can and should be an important part of every child's educational experience. He, also, noted that other schools who are currently using the program are seeing positive results in the reading scores of their students. The materials are in the school library and will be available the first part of December. Parents wishing to check these materials out may dos o by contacting Debbie Maples, our school librarian, for the best time to visit the library. at 5 Ladj Tigers Announces New Reading Program PAGE 2 3 Advanced Development, Circle Four Farms, Milford Valley Health Care Services, Olpin Mortuary, Pearl Queen Perlite, Pierce Small Engine Repair, Reimers, Rollins Machine and Construction, Salada, Twin Mountain Rock, West Hills Excavation, Bonnies Curl Up and Dye, Cinnabar Aviaton, Cucko Nest, Dance Unlimited, Davac, Henries Earthmoving, Pro Con Development, R&R Diner, R J.
