According to legend, it was the home built for Samuel Newhouse and possibly later used as the social club. When the settlement at Newhouse declined, the house was moved to Milford. It was transported on a dolly pulled by mules. Mr. Fisher said he thinks the 30' X 30' main portion of the house was moved in one trip and the slant roof portions in a second trip. It was used for some time as a rooming house. Mr. Fisher acquired the dwelling in 1957 and remodeled it into a single family home. n Dove Homes & First Security Bank Present a New Home Seminar Coftpany October 15 & 16 at 7:00 P.M.
