This event an athlete has to use four different strokes: butterfly, back, breast, and free style. I could not perform the challenging butterfly stroke last year because of acute arthritic conditions in my shoulder and arm. I've been adding to my diet on a daily basis a live food drink made of freshly juiced carrots, celery and apples for the past five months. I've not only had more energy, but almost miraculously the pain and weakness in my right shoulder and arm have vanished. This fact made the 100 meter medley win especially satisfying to me." Gent stated. With seven gold medal swimming efforts behind him, the Beaver resident is in the driver's seat to be the top overall medal winner at the '97 Utah Summer Games with 8 track and field and tw o Olympic weightlifting events on the horizon the week of June 16th through the 21st.
